Well, I said for better or worse I will post my weight....

    Last week: 224 lbs.
    This week: 224 lbs.

I am not sure what happened. I think I didn't eat enough. I know I didn't over eat and I worked out harder this week than the previous weeks. I jogged on the treadmill for 2 hours 2 days, 1 1/2 hours 2 days, and 1 hour 1 day. My calorie intake was about 1000-1100/day. I am going to try to increase my intake, maybe add a healthy snack or two. I hope everyone else out there is having much success!!! Due to this set back, next week my goal is to drop 4 lbs.

    Jay

Muscle weighs more than fat . . . . you built a lot of muscle this week. You did good!

Jay, I was going to say what Steph did, that it is probably muscle weight. Also, I agree with you that your caloric intake is too low. Men of your weight shouldn't be so restrictive without medical supervision, and as you have found it doesn't necessarily equate with weight loss. Rev up your metabolism by adding healthy snacks and eating five times a day. Lastly don't beat yourself up for not losing weight this week by upping your weight loss goals for the next week because you might be setting yourself up for failure. Realistic healthy weight loss goals of 1-2 lbs a week is fine. (It's funny I was watching Celebrity Fit Club and they say this in one breath and in the next say "your weight loss goal is 5 lbs".) End of lecture.

I'm off to the gym here in a few. As I say I was lazy towards the end of the week. I'm having a bit of trouble with being consistent on a daily basis and I seem to sabbatoge towards the end of the week, negating and gains (or actually losses) I've made. I have to take a look at that. Working 5 days in a row might be harder than I think.

    I agree w/Steph & Tweety- it's probably muscle gain.

I fond that if I eat a couple healthy snacks during the day, I'm not starving by meal time, which leads to overeating (for me at least).

I was good yesterday. It was my oldest dtr's 16th B-day, we had a party, and I didn't eat any of the bad stuff we had out for her guests.

I actually ended up losing a pound for the week, after all- yay! Pretty good, considering I'm bloated .

    Have a great weekend y'all!

Watched the Tae Bo instructional video last nite while clipping my toenails - does that strike anyone as ironic? HA HA HA! Visitation was cancelled this am so the incidental walking I was gonna do fell thru - guess I gotta go visit Billy and see how much I sweat

{{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}} I hear ya re Celeb fit club - funny (not) -

I do the self sabotage thing too, when my wt goes down i relax on my next meal - which is dangerous because 1 meal usually leads to 2 relaxed meals, to just a little treat, and so forth -

Hey, good for you, that is major (re the BD party)! And I was right, I officially started my period - even a few lymph glands swollen! which does happen sometimes. Yep I had a mammo, last Mon to be exact... So anyway - I can eat what I want this week. Kidding. I look forward to when it's done and I see that I did lose SOMEthing.

    Yeah Tweety and Muffie!

I'm down 10 pounds . . . . . but that annoying middle-aged spread is still there. I'd like to lose 10 more. We shall see.
