Thanks Cheerful - my kids are pretty resiliant, but I still feel bad for them when they are sick. I always wish I could take it for them.

Enjoy the book - I love to read - brain candy is a wonderful thing!!!

WHAAAA? No posting in FIVE HOURS??? Where is everyone today? Yoo hoo...where are youuuuuu??? :uhoh21: This would NOT be happening if our dear sweet Jnette were here. Noooooo buddy...she would NOT stand for this at all! Now GIT in here fer I write ya'll up for lack of interests or something.

Nuttin' happening in my neck of the woods. Waiting on the pizza to be delivered. It's Friday, and dd says on Fridays we eat pizza, so pizza it is....like it or not....and that's that...so what choice do I have but to eat pizza.

Read the first chapter of Joel Osteen's book "Your Best Life Now" and LOVED IT! I feel newly motivated, energized, and ready to make true my dreams! :hatparty:

    Renee, enjoy the pizza.

Jess, good luck with Micro. Sorry that you're not enjoying it.

Arciedee, you might find you like the gym. John got me a gym membership and I've been going for a long time now, I used to hate it. The trick for me is to bring music, so I'm not too bored.

    Deb, hope you're feeling better.

Sarah, sorry to hear the munckins are sick.

I am dead dog tired from work, and just had a sandwich, using low fat meet and cheese and whole wheat bread. Not in the mood to cook.

    Hmmm, low fat meet. Yum.

Well, I was bad today - we had a going away party for a nurse and we had pizza (I had one piece of veggie), layered bean dip (I had 3 helpings), and chocolate cheesecake (I had one slice).

Not eating dinner. Well, except I had a bit of trail mix . .you know, fiber.

I'm off tomorrow - gonna try to get in a workout.

Jess - sorry about Micro - I loved it and had a hard but great teacher. Why do teachers behave so badly sometimes? Why bring people down instead of helping them UP?

Nighty night all! Time for me shower, then going to crawl into my comfy warm bed and read some more of Joel Osteen's book before I fall asleep. Have a great night all! :kiss

Hope you all had a lovely night's rest. I am off to school today. I made a huge pot of pozole (mexican hominy stew) for dh to take to work today and share with co-workers.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi Jess, guess we are the only two checking in here today! Have a great day at school!

I started my day with one peach and cottage cheese. Of course, bottled water is my drink 24/7. Walked on the treadmill after breakfast for thirty-five minutes, then did some floor stretches with dd. Tried to read my Bible while walking on the treadmill, and couldn't see the pages well enough with these glasses I have on. Guess my vision is getting worse, so need new glasses. Why does everything seem to go awry when one is T-Totally temporarily financially down and out? :icon_roll

BBL, and hello to all who decide to take a peep in here today!

    Hi Renee!

Sounds like you started your morning off right!

I had a good day at school and later braved the supermarket. I was gonna do laundry but will do that tomorrow instead.

I bought tons of apples today...........seriously thinking about starting the diet on Monday...........hehe

Jess...are you going to try the Rice Diet? I talked to my dd who is on that diet, and she said it's too restrictive for her, but so far she's lost 8 1/2 pounds in one week! Although she is happy with those results, she realizes it isn't safe enough to stay on that plan for long, so she is going back to her Weight Watchers diet. She said that she will still incorporate some of the good things she has learned to eat from the Rice Diet, but since it only offers 30 foods to choose from, she needs more of a selection. Don't think I'm going to try the Rice Diet afterall (for that reason).

Since I'm not an "emotional eater", and I don't stuff myself until full when I eat, I'm just going to stick with eating regular foods that are naturally good for the body and mind, and continue my workouts each day.

P.S............Jess.........dd says she'll email me the list of foods from the Rice Diet. I'll be happy to share them here when I get them for anyone who wants to use them.

Yeah, I was gonna try it for a week to jump start my plateu. Then I was going back to my normal healthy eating.

If it's not a problem, I'll be happy to have a copy of the list!

    Thanks Renee

    Hey Healthy Living Peeps!

I woke up with a backache, don't know if it was the movie seat or what. But I went to yoga anyway and felt better, but it's coming back and I'm out of motrin. I rarely have a backache.

Tweety, Dh suffers from backache so I got him a memory foam topper from overstock.com

Anyhow, it is the best thing. He has yet to complain about his back and we are in love with our matress topper. I even ordered the matching pillows.......I highly recommend

    Take care of yourself.
