I really want to try yoga too. My 12 year old daughter was a gynmast up until August and she is so flexable but is loosing it since she no longer works out 12 hours a week. I think it would be a great mother daughter activity even though she doesn't need it for weight loss - she a stick! If she didn't look so much like me I would think I brought the wrong baby home from the hospital!
    Thank you for the support.
You know, I got the idea from Madona. I have watched the interview where they asked her how she gets fit. She said that it is only Yoga. I looked on Amazon website and they have a Yoga DVD that is suited for overweight people, where they use pillows for support. You know usually yoga is for all those little people that can move in all kind of directions . I am not like that, that why I think I will get that DVD.

    Greetings sibs!

It feels so good to finally say that I am taking control of my life with God at the helm of my life directing me through the Holy Spirit one step at a time.

Yesterday evening was my second time this week walking on the treadmill at the gym where my dd goes for her workouts. I walked a little over three miles last night in the one hour I spent on the treadmill. I talked the entire hour to my newly assigned Personal Trainer. She told me I was doing great for not having worked out much in ten years or more. She said I didn't have any problem TALKING while working out...without getting winded...and that's a very good sign that I'm on my way to a healthy physical recovery.

My P.T. (Personal Trainer) will make out a personal workout plan for me when I go on Tuesday of next week. I'm soooooooo EXCITED!

Wow you guys - everybody is doing so awesome! Congrats! Great job! Those of you that are not happy with how things are going - I feel your pain and wish you the best of luck. The best thing to do is quit procrastinating and do something - anything - to make yourself feel better. I am a horrible procrastinator, but once I really got started, I feel so good I want to keep it up.

Sorry I am in such a hurry today - talk to y'all later - hope everyone has a great day!!!

Ok, I just came back from my week 4 weigh in at WW. I have lost 13.6 LBS sofar. :roll I have never lasted this long on any kind of diet. Which I don't want to call this a diet. I have changed my lifestyle. I control my portion size and I do not snack on sweets anymore. I even got my mom in Germany to do it with me. She just calls me every day and tells me what she plans to eat and I tell her the points for everything. It is fun.
I want to try Yoga. I have never done that. I think it would be stress relieving. I need to get my mind of reality. At least for that one yoga hour.
Wow, good for you. I'm going to a introductory meeting at WW tonight with my hairdresser. I tried this on my own and obviously need some structure.

I have 2 yoga videos for beginners. They're 20 minutes long and one is for morning and one is for night. They don't feel like beginner stuff though I can do most of the moves just not as well as the instructors.

Jess, I didn't notice any Holiday menus, probably because I started after the holidays. But several articles talk about the evil word........moderation.

RN in 3, Kiyatylese, Kat, I highly recommend yoga. I wouldn't recommend it as the only form of fitness, unless, like Madonna you can hire a private trainer and practice many hours a day.

Renee, it's good to hear your being enthused!

Kat, good luck with WW. I know what you mean about needed structure. Also the support is good. An old high school buddy of mine loss 100 lbs. and now teaches the class.

    Hi Sarah!

I'm at work. I was able to stick to my plan. I ate a SB tv dinner, which was actually good chicken and green beans and less than 300 calories. I did scarf down two Zone bars because I left my snacks at home.

Tweety, I am all ready to start my healthy eating again on the 1st. I signed up for both sites earlier posted and am ready. Tomorrow will be my last day of sin!

Good luck Jess. Enjoy your day of "sin". I know I sure did right before my diet, and have the three pounds I gained that last week to prove it.
