Yay my application was just sent for Fall 2012 to KCC and UH. Now I gotta wait about 3-4 months to see if I get accepted/waitlisted/rejected. Hmmm. Anyone else in this forum in the same boat?

Wait, so you don't receive anything from the nursing department? Just the UH admissions "congratulations?" How do we know the nursing department receives it?

Hey! I walked-in my application for fall '12 some time before Winter Break began and they gave me a notice on a slip that confirms they received my app. So the waiting game does begin. However, I really do DOUBT that i'll make it in primarily because of my NLN scores. I received a 92/85 for my Math/Science sections, BUT got a 49 (short of the minimum 50) for my Verbal section :'( If you want to look at my last two postings on my profile, it explains my whole history with it. Hehe. But i just wanted to throw this out there, incase any one is in the same boat as me. I just applied anyway and turned in my app; a friend of mines told me that it doesn't hurt to try and see what happens. and so far, these are my stats:

pGPA 3.9

cGPA 3.8

NLN VERBAL 49

NLN MATH 92

NLN SCIENCE 85

I am keeping my guards up and gonna apply again for spring '13 for UH Manoa AND KCC. Best of luck to you all!

i wish that they would accept everyone!! i am taking ceramics, hawaiian studies, religion 150, pharmacology, american studies and swimming this semester! a lot of classes but the workload is soooo much better than the semesters with sciences! anyway, i am trying to stop obsessing so i might stop visiting this site! good luck to all:) and thanks neeko for the reassurance!!

does anyone know when uh lets people know as opposed to kcc? do you get time to choose if you get into both? or at least time to see if you got into both?? :) thanks!

I'm guessing late March to early April for UH and late April to early May for kcc. I'm hoping to find out from manoa first though.

Have you guys put down your deposit for fall 2012? i'm thinking i should do it huh?I think we have to do it sometime in march before we hear back from the Nursing Department.

i am at UH already, but it might make things easier if you put your deposit down earlier than later. :)

Hey guys! I had applied to UHM for Fall 2012 and just waiting for a response like everyone here! Hopefully we'll find out soon! I'm a bit nervous because I've read in other threads that they specifically look at your highest nln score. My highest nln score is 91 which is kinda low compared to others. But I'm still hoping for the best~ Just thought I'd put my stats up too if it helps somehow.

pgpa: 3.9

cgpa: 3.65

Composite score: 133

Verbal: 80

Science: 91

Math: 90

I hand delivered my application on the 4th and have yet to recieve anything from the nursing department in specific. I did recieve a packet from UH Manoa Admissions office in regards to my system application..it was such a fake out to cause the packet said "congratulations" on it!

My friend who had also applied for Fall 2012 was wondering if you had received anything so far indicating that you'd submitted your application and it's in their hands? She didn't walk in her application but mailed it on the 3rd with the reassurance from the post office that her application would make it to the school of nursing by the 4th. So far she hasn't recieved anything to indicate if her application made it to the school yet.
