Student summer externship/internship programs or CNA postitions?

I am a nursing student looking for an externship program anywhere in Hawaii. Does anyone know of any? Or of any hospitals/clinics that are good places to apply for a CNA position? I really want to be in Hawaii this summer because I have never been. Thanks

The chances of a mainland nursing student getting a summer job here as a CNA or getting into an extern program are slim to none, more likely none.

These positions are extremely difficult to come by and go exclusively (with rare exceptions that I haven't heard about but maybe someone else has) to students who go to Hawaii nursing programs as, IMO, they should.

You've "never been" here? Do yourself a favor and book a nice Hawaiian vacation and have fun for a week or two. There are no summer jobs for you here.

if you want to know if a cna can get a job here... please read the 20 other posts that talk about nurses trying to find jobs. go back 18 months. you will find your answer there.

please, vacation to hawai'i. come here for 1-2 weeks this summer. have the time of your life. hawaiians are the nicest people in the world!

spend $$ here. support the people who already live here. tourism is down, so everyone's hours are getting cut back... at all jobs, in every industry. the people who already live here are trying to work, so please, spend $$ here, and help them pay their rent.
