there's no parking at queens. if you park in the structure expect to pay A LOT. you're better off catching the bus. that's what i did this past semester and it worked out great. it's a 15 minute ride on the City Express A. much better than paying for parking or parking far away and walking. i honestly didn't understand why my classmates were so insistent on driving. maybe it's just b/c i've worked at QMC before and understand that parking during dayshift just doesn't happen. save yourself a headache and catch TheBus. it leaves UHM every 15 minutes. no biggie. $4 if you're catching it to QMC and back to campus. not a bad deal imo.

That was exactly what I was planning.

Thanks for your input.

Now we know... it was 225.

Brian (admission specialist) told me 108. Perhaps he was referring to 108 qualified applicants. The rest either did not follow directions or did not meet the requirements.

Are you starting in the fall? At the orientation we were told 225, and out of that, 66 were chosen. I thought the number was quite high too, but the number came from somewhere. I feel blessed to have been chosen, either way.:)

when i went to an advising sessions they explained that the total number of applicant includes all the silly incoming freshmen that check "nursing" as their major instead of "pre-nursing". they automatically get entered as nursing school applicants despite not meeting any of the requirements.

I didn't know that. Still, even half that amount of applicants is a lot. I wonder why those "applicants" are even included in the final numbers, then.

what do you think my chances of getting into UH Manoa with 4.0 cumulative and pre-reqs and 94,84,57 NLN?

Dopamine_P,

4.0 cumulative and pre-req grades are exceptional. your NLN scores are average, as most people don't do too well on the English portion. You scored above the 50% mark for all sections, so you should just sign up for the spring 2012 semester anyway. I have faith in you!

I'm in the 4th semester at UH Manoa School of Nursing now and I'm lovin' it! sucks that they are integrating the new curriculum into my semester (since my semester is the last traditional nursing program and the ones following mine are a part of the new consortium).
