Also, I have my BSN and have only been working as a nurse for 6mo.
You're in a better position than most fresh new grads because you have some experience at least. Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health center is hiring new grads and they pay well. It is a psychiatric unit.

You might want to investigate that place a little more thoroughly before recommending it.

I'm not sure if that was a joke post and just a play on words or if it is for real.

joke post? Yes. I was trying to add some humor to the thread.
play on words? Yes. Call me strange. I like puns.
for real? Yes. For real. Read the last 18 months of posts to the Hawai'i forum.
You'll find the same info there, over and over again.

I am fairly new to this site so I didn't know there was a Hawaii area. I will definately check it out. As for jobs in Hawaii, I hope there are some. I'm putting all my eggs in that basket.

You know what they say about putting all your eggs in one basket. You can hope all you want, good luck with that. Hope won't find you a job here. Nobody here is being negative just for the hell of it, they speak the truth. Sorry to disappoint you.

I was just kidding of course. We want to plan a sort of family adventure and move with the kids somewhere and work there for a year or so. If Hawaii isn't it, we'll go somewhere else. I am certainly glad that I stumbled on this rather than waste my time searching for a job. I certainly have enough other things to do. Thanks all.

Ruggster:
I am amazed with your last post. Amazed. Astonished. Surprised. Pleasantly surprised. You wouldn't believe how many people are not as sensible as you. You wouldn't believe how many people actually do put all their eggs in one basket, come to the islands with zero game plan, crash, burn, and go back home. You, on the other hand, actually listen. Thank goodness someone does.

I was just kidding of course. *laughing* Thank you for the humor. We don't get much of that here.

We want to plan a sort of family adventure Please, come to Hawai'i. You'll love it here! These are the nicest people in the world. When you're here on vacation, it's paradise. It's absolutely wonderful. Just me personally.. I would stay away from the island of Oahu. It's way too crowded. Try the islands of Kauai or Maui.

I am certainly glad that I stumbled on this rather than waste my time searching for a job. I am also glad you stumbled here. Glad we could help you.

I certainly have enough other things to do. Go spend time with your family. Aloha!
