Dear aqswdefr:
1. What is your first name?
2. Where are you living right now? City & State?
3. Do you have any experience, actually working as a CNA or LPN?

Marco:
Read this forum. Read posts FOR THE LAST 18 MONTHS. The answer is already here. You just don't want to believe it.

It's been my experience, my own personal experience, that men don't really want advice. If I say, "don't do it," they're not gonna listen. If I say, "it's not a good idea, you're gonna hurt yourself," they 're going to go ahead and do it anyway. And get hurt, and feel pain, and... usually blame someone else.

It's not really hard for a new grad RN to find a job in Maui. It's not really hard at all. It's ****ing impossible! You wrote, "all I want is a job." My response: I believe Wal-mart and McDonald's are hiring.

Remember when you were young? And you touched that hot stove? And burned yourself? And cried? Well, you learned! Pain is a wonderful teacher! You wrote that you plan to move here in a month or two. You'll feel pain, and you'll learn.

Lisa ;-)

I believe if you review the BB and the Hawaii forum, you will find the answers to your questions.

Like many people, you may not like those answers and you may not accept those answers.....that is up to you.

But the information is there.

I have 5 yrs experience...relocated from Cali...worked Tele and Peds.. and thought that would help but truth is..they're just not hiring right now. Especially just these past few weeks Hawaii jobs and pay are getting cut because of the furloughs. In fact I finally got an interview today after harassing HR for months. HR for the hospitals is another story...expect to wait WEEKS/MONTHS to even hear back. My advice would be to stay in Cali where there are TONS of jobs waiting for new grads. Everytime I showed interest in a hospital in Cali, they couldn't wait to give me an interview..basically throwing the job at ya..NOT here. Good luck to you..LOL..good luck to us both!
