Tuition Assistance in Virginia Hospitals

by rn2b231

Hi all, I'm a May grad from J Sarg Reynolds and am curious about Tuition Assistance from hospitals in Richmond and Fredericksburg area. I was hoping to get hired at MCV/VCU however they are on a hiring freeze and I don't know when it will end.

I am considering working at Mary Washington Hospital- I've heard alot of good things about them, but I am curious about tuition reimbursement, like how long you need to work there before they will pay for tuition? I'm starting my RN-BSN in the fall and was hoping to get some assistance with the $$.

I am open to other hospitals in the area I'm just kind of new to Virginia and don't know too much about what hospitals offer around here.

Thanks for all the help!

I think most hospitals will have varying degrees of commitment. You may have better luck posting this under the Regions: Virginia Nurses thread.

Good Luck! Also, there's lots of Veterans Administrations Hospitals in Virginia. If you can get in, I hear they have a great tuition reimbursement program...
