Things are going great!

Things are going great! I started a new job last week in a pediatric office. The hours are awesome (part-time-exactly what I wanted) and I even get great benefits including paid time off. The atmosphere is laid back and the time goes by very quickly. I love my new job! I just have to get used to signing "RN" after my name now!

However, I am still having dreams about being back in school. Dreams like forgetting about an assignment or being unprepared for a test. I have to remind myself that all of that is over. It's a great feeling to think about not having to go back to classes in the fall!

So, just want to tell you guys that things are going great! I love my new job and liking the idea of finally being an RN! And no more classes, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks! ha ha. What a GREAT feeling!

Cogratulations!! Isn't it a nice feeling to be out of school. I have been out for five years and have to admit I miss it sometimes. Thinking of auditing a class this fall. After five years I still have school dreams on occassion. Similar to yours I dream that I haven't been to a class all semester and the day I show up it is test day.

Good luck to you!!

I'm going through orientation at my new job in a LTC. I had a dream last night that I was in love with Drew Carey and he loved me. (I'm happily married.) LOL!

Congrats!

Know what?
I've been an RN for three years and I STILL have those dreams about missing an assignment, forgetting about a test and finding out that I'm scheduled for a class, and never knew it, and now have to make up three months work of assignments and reading in a week!

I also have dreams about having hundreds and hundreds of pts to care for in a nursing home. Somehow, I get it all done, it's time to go home, I'm wiped out...and another nurse says "Wait a minute, this hall over here is yours, too. Didn't you know?"

Then, I wake up right before the scream!
lol, true story.

Glad you found a job you enjoy. Good for you!
