Personal Philosophy of Nursing

Hello everyone, I will be graduating in December (yay!!!) and one of my assignments for my Leadership and Management course is to create a professional portfolio. One of the requirments for this assignment is to develop a Personal Philosophy of Nursing based on the Standards of Practice by ANA. We must describe three standards and how our personal philosophy is congruent with those standards. I am at a loss for finding this information on the internet. Does anyone know of a website where I can look up these standards or does anyone have any copies of the standards that they would be willing to share????? I would really like to ultimately pursue a career in Critical Care. All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!!

ANA standards of care, maybe? http://www.ferris.edu/htmls/colleges....cfm?LinkID=45

Then there's the often-referenced ANA code of ethics ... http://www.nursingworld.org/ethics/c...d_nwcoe813.htm

I would use the code of ethics as it provides a guide of nursing values and is considered nursing philosophy,
