No longer a "New Grad" after 6 months?

by RiaRN3

So I got this alarming comment from one of the recruiters I spoke with. She said after 6 months, new graduates are no longer considered "new"?!?! Not sure it matters but yeaaahhhh.... So, after November, I'm just "mopin around graduate RN?" or "weighing all my 'options' grad RN" or "just waiting for the call grad RN?" or "expert flu shot RN...." Oh well.. I suppose the new batch of jobseekers are graduating... sniff. One more month... I am old.

Seems like you would be a "new" grad until you get experience.
Doesn't make sense to me either.
Good luck!!

Two hospitals I spoke to told me that they consider you a "new grad" until you get at least 1 year's of work experience.

Good luck with the hunt!
