New Grads and Resumes

Updated Sep 30, 2009 at 12:05 AM by NRSKarenRN

Hi!
Anyone up for swapping resumes for constructive criticism?
During my time in school I participated in many seminars to perfect resume writing and interviewing skills; which I am sure you did to! I was also a tutor for nursing students which I helped assist many students write their resumes and cover letters.
I thought this would be a great way to share ideas of what we learned and help each other make our resumes and cover letters stand out!
If you would like to participate PM me and I will give you my email address to swap resumes. Please take off all identifying info (name, address, phone number) from your resume. I don’t want o be responsible for it!
Can't wait to swap resumes!!!!

Same here, I'll take a look at your resume if you want me too. I am a Recruiter and look at plenty of resumes every day.
Also (unless you want me to recruit you) please take off all your personal information from your resume.

my advice would to keep your resume short and sweet.

mine only had my objective, my personal information, and my past employment. it also included the school i graduated from and the degree i got. i wasn't involved in ANYTHING outside of school so i didn't list any of that. mine was like 1/2 a page or something silly like that. anyway, i was hired without any problems. don't try to "over inflate" your resume too much - the longer it takes to glance over, the easier it is for someone to throw it in the trash.

Hi, Tclema

Would you please take a look at my resume? I tried very hard to find a hospital job, but only had two hospital interview so far.

I am wondering if my resume blocked the door. I log into my account and then click contact, and see you are online, but PM user is not working. Is it possible that I can get contact with you via email?

Thanks!
