LVN 's not finding work

by dark40

I was thinking about enroling into a LVN program at a private school, but Im scare due to the fact that im hearing that there isnt no jobs out here (california) for LVN's. Is it a waste to go to school for the LVN program? And be stuck with a big student loan, and no job to try and pay the loan back.

this is true for most parts of california, but yet going to a vocational school or university, still gives you an advantage in advancing if you continue to become an rn. I finished lvn school on august, i have yet to take my nclex exam and will probably enroll in rn program also. good luck

It is extremely difficult for a new grad LVN to find work in most of CA. Your LVN license is still useful, though, to enter an LVN to RN bridge program.
