Confused about ATT?!

Do we have to register with Pearson VUE before we get our ATT or no? Ive heard conflicting things and have been waiting for my ATT so that I can register for my exam, but im honestly just confused.

Also, my temp. permit was approved 2 days ago, how much longer did it take after that to receive it? I know everyones different, im just looking for ballpark figures I guess.

I hate waiting when it feels like everyone else is running towards the testing centers.

You will not receive an ATT until you have paid the 200 dollars to them (Pearson Vue) and registered. When you're filling out the forms, even if you haven't graduated, put in the date that you will graduate. Also, apply online, as then they will email your ATT number. Then, when you get your emailed ATT, go and login to your Pearson account, find a test date that works--at this point it will ask for the ATT. Also, Pearson won't give you an ATT until they receive notification from your state that you've graduated. So...make sure that you have sent in all required forms to your state board of nursing and paid their fees. Have you done that part yet?

Im pretty sure I have. The $35 for the TPP and the $200 (i just paid online today!) to Pearson Vue. I was confused b/c a coworker of mine got her ATT in the mail yesterday and had yet to mail her $200..and Ive heard similar from others in my orientation class.

Im kinda confused.

Is there anything i'm missing?

Well, they still won't be able to actually schedule to take a test until they have paid that 200 dollars. You should also see if your state licensing board has a registration status page--Mine in WI does--that way you can check to see if the only thing they're waiting for is your NCLEX results. If they don't have anything like that, then I would just try to ensure that you've sent in all required forms--check with your school of nursing, as they should be helping you through this process. Each state is different, so I can't really help you there.

Quick results: When you've taken the NCLEX, you can login to your account on Pearson's website, look under recent activity. When 48 hours have passed from when you've taken the exam, you can click on that test. It will then take you to a credit card payment screen. You pay $7.95, and you can get your result of pass or fail. Bear in mind, that not all states participate in quick results--CA being one of the biggies.

I have been stalking my BON and got a new msg yesterday stating the my license is pending due to 'nclex exam' and 'passing scores on nclex.' So it looks like my BON has cleared me and no ATT yet. I registered for my license on 5/4, paid my reg fee with pearson on 5/17 and still haven't rec'd my ATT!!!!!!!! About 6 ppl in my class got theirs. I am really starting to get frustrated. That ATT better be in my inbox in the next few days! I have no idea what the hold up is!

I would contact Pearson Vue--see if there is any hold up on their end: credit card, etc. You registered with Pearson online, correct? What happens when you log into your Pearson Account? Also, you might want to check your SPAM folder, and maker sure your ATT didn't end up in there. Lastly, if your BON just cleared you to test, then it does take a couple of days for Pearson to get the message that they can give you an ATT. Good luck!
