Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there are any Summer 2009 Rush GEM applicants out there and if you have heard anything back from RUSH at this point? I applied for early decision and don't really know how competitive I am as an applicant... My undergrad gpa is a 3.6 with the last 60 hours being a 3.8. I have research experience at Northwestern at the medical school, have been published once in a peer-reviewed journal, have been a vp and pres of BBB national honor society. I have a year of full time EMT experience and about 1,000 hours in volunteering at a nursing home. I am just really worried because I keep reading that people are like 3.9 GPA's with tons of clinical experience and what not.

If anyone is out there who is applying let me know how your process is going.

I just applied to Rush (and by just I mean 5 minutes ago) and I'm a little confused about when we'll be hearing back about things. What do you know?

The only thing I was told is that the admissions committee meets twice a month... that is all... I feel like I am left in the dark on this... I have no idea when we are supposed to know if we got in by... what do you know?

I Just applied to Early Decision GEM summer 2009. I hope the other applicants aren't nearly as competitive as you are. If so, I don't have a chance. I have a 3.32 GPA (3.57 in my major) in my undergrad, (B.S. in Exercise Science), I have mostly A's in all my prerequisite classes (a B in stats and a B in Microbiology).

I have heard mixed experiences on when they get back to you for the interview and then the final decision. It can be a month or so before we hear anything, so I guess I wouldn't stress out about it. I am not expecting anything until January and then I will worry if I haven't heard anything. I also heard they will contact you by phone to schedule the interview.

It sounds like you are a very competitive applicant. Have you heard back yet? I sent in my application just a couple of weeks ago, but Rush still has to get my GRE scores sent to them - hopefully within a few days.

How long ago did you apply? Does anyone have any info on what to expect from interviews for Rush Gem?

I turned my app in November 15th, I haven't heard anything about the interviews

Anyone have any idea on how the interviews are at RUSH?

I just heard back today to schedule the interview, unfortunately I am not able to make it to Chicago on that day, I will be coming from out of state and she said she will call me back to schedule it another day.
