Im not sure how your VISN is but you are not considered a new grad after getting your RN. A nurse is a nurse and they count your experiecne. They take your time as a LPN and cut it in half. So you should be getting paid as a RN with 4 1/2 years experience. At least this is applied in our VISN. I just had a friend finish the VANEEP and she was a LPN for 6 years prior so came in with 3 years. Its worth looking into. Good luck.

I know you posted awhile ago to this regarding the VANEEP program but I am also at VISN 10 and wonder if you know if they still offer this. I am an LPN in school now doing prerequisites for RN. Thanks.
