Hey All!!!! I got a question....:coollook:

How is everyone getting their set of orders? Are they getting to you via snail mail? email? ako? and just for average sake.... about how long are they taking for commissioning to you (no hearsays please)?

I am 61 days,or 5,270,400 secs or 87,840 minutes or 1464 hours post commissioning. I know I am hopping on this once again.... but my ako email is messed up (some one there in ako land put a 2 after my name and like there are two of us in the Army..... ahahahahahaha NO!) they got me listed as IRR (I just signed my life over to them how am I IRR) .... the list goes on (as in my MDR is listed as in 2014.... someone there can't do math) .... I don't know what an impact this all has, maybe it has none but as drill weekend rolls around this weekend hmmm....... I am betting at this point I am putting all my earrings back in my ears that I took out for my I.D. and just gonna be trying to forget that I should be, by all means at drill and not being where I will be.:angryfire

thanks in advance!

flames in my face is only half of what I'm feeling right now! this is ridiculous! according to my LTC boyfriend this is not a good thing. everyone--take note of this and when you get your ako/iperms/ and hrc set up make sure its got all the correct info on it because it looks like its all tied in together.

Boarded: 14-15th "ish" Oct

Commissioned: 21 Oct

Orders: 20 Jan

First set orders were in my HRC account (electronic). Second set I received 03 Feb via snail mail. Still haven't received any packets of information from my unit yet. I am APMC, so the process might be a bit different from everyone else's.

I do know that 66HM5 has been waiting on his orders since July 08.

Hello!

So I emailed my recruiter and here's the response....

"As for the orders...It just takes time. The paperwork

has to work its way through several layers. I don't know who you talked

to at HRC or what they know, but your paperwork is submitted. Once the

Nurse Corps requests your orders they send those to a lot of agancies

including you. At that point AKO, DEERs, and all those other agancies

get a copy of your orders as well, so noone is going to know anything

until those orders are requested by the nurse corps. There is nothing

we can do to rush it, I will send a request tomorrow to see if they can

tell me where your orders are in the process. "

that's fair enough... so I will wait some more.....

Well, at least you got a response from your recruiter:

My first recruiter (my very first one) told me that I was a go for MEPS. On the designated day I woke up and waited outside for him to come get me, and I waited, and waited....and waited. He never showed up, never returned my phone calls, never gave an explanation as to why "he stood me up". :angryfire

My second recruiter told me the paperwork was all submitted, so I waited, and waited....and waited. Finally I e-mailed HRC and the response back I got was "Sorry you are not in our system, we don't have any paperwork on you" I forwarded that e-mail from HRC to my recruiter and I got a call from him four days later to tell me I was in. We made arrangements for me to go to - at that time - Picatinny orificenal for my taking the Oath. No prob except I don't have a car and the bus ride there was over 4 hours AND I didn't know that I could have been administered the Oath in my hometown and I wouldn't have had to make that long ride up there :angryfire The only other problem was he never submitted the paperwork for me to receive my reserve bonus and I didn't find this out until about one year later when I was trying to figure out when I would receive the first years "bonus" :angryfire

My recruiter [CPT/AN] for going Active was all that one would want in a health care recruiter. In fact I have remained in communication with him. So the moral of my story is: Don't give up and sometimes it is the luck of the draw in how well ones recruiter can be/is but I do believe we can play a certain hand in OUR OWN FUTURE. Something I learned a little late in my fledgling military career but we've gotta be pro active. I mean, to a certain extent most of us are such the advocate for others! In my case I had to learn to be more an advocate FOR ME.

Thank you Athena.... I have to admit........ that up until yesterday I thought that everything had gone rather well. Then as I was talking to the woman in St. Louis my heart just sank when I heard "Ma'am we don't even have a record of you even commissioning" All I could say to her was "This is HRC, right?" Reply "Yes Ma'am"..... "St. Louis, right?" reply "Yes, ma'am"..... "you people handle all the personnel records for everyone in the Army, right?" reply "Yes, ma'am"..... I said "Oh my we got a problem".

I got off the phone, called my recruiter and left a vm..... went on email and left a email......... I'm sorry 9 weeks out from commissioning i think they should have something on me. Damn! I'm gonna give to the middle of next week then I am going to call St. Louis again if I dont get an answer.

thanks Athena!

ok.... all you "veterans' out there.... tell me if you all see anything wrong with this. supposedly everything is tied in together i.e. deers, ako, iperms, amedd....etc........ now i have heard from two separate people both of whom have been in quite a while combined close to 40 years....... say they should not have me classified as irr

now is it possible they have me classified as such until they get my paperwork?

December army reserve boards

The big picture right now is, Pxxxx: I'm a 1LT and you're not. I don't mean that to be catty, but I didn't sit there floundering, waiting for things to happen. I took action and kept after things. The way a Officer does.
