by bryango Jun 14, '12Can someone out there shed some light for me. I am on the alternate list for the latest Air Force nursing board for critical care. Does anyone know if we who are on the alternate list do not get in, are we automatically in on the next COT? Or do we have to go through the selection process again? Any light on this subject would be appreciated.

Jun 14, '12 by AFhopefulI believe those on the alternate list are called upon if an opening comes up during the year! I asked my recruiter if I had a lesser chance of being chosen because I am not already licensed as an RN and he said "if there are immediate openings, they will pull upon the applicants from the last FQ board."

If no one drops, as an alternate you automatically get into the next class, no board selection required because you were technically already picked.
