Nursing review board

by mobro

Does anyone know for sure when the board meets to review apps? I could have sworn my recruiter told me they met Nov. 11th and should decide by Nov. 20th but then he called me this week just to check in and said that they meet Nov. 3rd... Which by my calculations would mean they should decide long before December....right? So anyway, does anyone know which is right? I am literally counting the days until I can start expecting a phone call and I want to make sure my paper chain is the right length! haha. That's a joke...but seriously... I keep reading that everyone is waiting to find out in December but it just doesn't seem to add up quite right.

There are two federal holidays and usually two additional training holidays due to them in November.

Is this for the army boards? I remember being in your same situation kust wanting my app to be looked at and approved! My experience was torture b/c it was supposed to go for the July board, but things seemed to keep happening with my file (needed a resume even though my recuiter told me I didn't need one) and it didn't end up going until the September boards. So, my advice to you, is just be as patient as you can be, b/c it will stress you out! When i finally got the phone call that I was in, it was such a relief, but well worth the wait!

Are you going for active or reserves? Still in school?

I heard that all paper work needs to be in by Nov 10th, so I would assume Nov 11th is the meeting. Unfortunately, I am going to get bumped to the next board as I now need an ortho consult for my prior knee surgeries

If the paperwork is due on the 10th the earliest date will be the 12th since the 11th is Veterans Day.

Good point....you are right! I forget about all these government holidays since they don't count in the civilian world.

My recruiter had told me that for the NTP we find out around the 20th of November while those not going into the NTP find out in the beginning of December. Have no idea if this is 100% correct since there is no official place to look at board dates.

I was told by my recruiter (Air Force) the board meets Nov 6th with release date of November 20th. I didn't meet the paper work "cut off" so I have to wait til the next board which is January 19th with release date of February 6th(I think), the cut off is December 22nd for the paperwork. What is everybody elses recruiter telling them? Im tired of waiting. Is it wrong to get a civilian nursing job for 3 mos then quit to go back into the Air Force?
