Navy Nurse Internship Program

I was wondering if anyone had any information or experience with the Nurse Internship Program at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. I am going into my last year of nursing school and want to work in the NICU. I am graduating from a private university and I am really anxious about getting rid of my debt so I am looking into joining the Navy. I have been doing some research and came across this Nurse Internship Program which looked like a great way to have an easier transition from nursing student to competent nurse. I know that if I go into the Navy I will have to do at least a year on a med-surg. floor. I was wondering if anyone could answer some questions I have. How difficult is the transition from civilian to being in the Navy? What is it like working in a military hospital versus a civ. hospital? How difficult is it to work your way into a specialty like NICU? Also I really want to go to grad school. I have heard that the Navy will pay for grad school for some specialties and, of course, for a longer commitment, is this true? I would greatly appreciate any insight as I have very little knowledge about the military and I am trying to get a feel for what being in the Navy and making this huge commitment would be like...

Hey, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but if you search a little harder, you'll find plenty of threads with the questions that you have about navy vs. civi nursing, and getting the navy to pay for more college through the DUINS program. I can't say that I know too much about navy nursing, as I was an enlisted member but I've gotten a lot more knowledge from going through these threads, as tedious as that sounds.

I have found a lot of really helpful information on navy nursing. I just was wondering if anyone had personal experience in the navy nurse internship program which is for newly graduated BSN nurses and is different from the DUINS program. I also mentioned wanting to know more about civi vs. military nursing and grad school because asking for more opinions or more information can never hurt. But with the plenthora of information on navy nursing I can understand you being short with myself and others for asking the same questions over again. I do believe mine is a little bit different in that I am asking specifically about the nurse internship program which I have only been able to find one sentence on after reading these posts for hours and was hoping someone had first hand expereince in the program or more information.
