Are they 12 hour shifts?
Are they regularly 36 hours/week (3x12 hours)?
I'm afraid if I join, Uncle Sam will make me work 45+ hours a week average.

- Apr 25, '12 by wtbcrnaQuote from 240zRNIt is the military. They can have you work 100+hr weeks if they want. I have never heard of a 36/hr week in the military ever. The normal for floor nurses is 12hr shifts with every other weekend off plus extra duties that for a new company grade officer (O-1-O-3) is about 45-50hrs a week on average. Can anyone speak about the hours for navy nurses.
