Hello All!

My name is Stephanie and I'm about to graudate LPN school in Hampton Roads, VA. I've been reading alot of post about different routes to take while obtaining an associate degree RN or diploma. I'm no spring chicken---37yrs old and would like the experience of being in the army reserves as a nures. But what's the best route to take? No I haven't spoken with a recruiter because I need to have my plant together. Here we go...after I take the NLCLEX-PN and get my license should I just go for my RN then sign up for reserves and apply for strap once in? My funds are low but If I do it my self I would have to apply for loans (subsidized -deferred) then see if the military will repay my loans if I go reserve and make it's in black and white that they pay. (is that correct?) How should I do this. I have no prior military experience and I'm not sure which route is best and less time comsuming for me. If I do it on my own it will take 2 1/2 yrs. I will be 40yr.(jeez) :eek:I don't know....sorry for rambling. :uhoh3:Just need advice. Anyone out there willing to help me in figuring out a plan? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephanie:nurse:
