AshleyOT: In the email today it says "BOLC 11-113 Prep course" but they're just saying BOLC is the prep course... as I got the same email, have orders and am definitely not going to PRE-BOLC. Probably not the best phrasing!

Im not prior military and I"m not going to the Pre-BOLC course. I was wondering if it was new and they're randomly pulling direct comm's to go through it to see if it's useful? Best I could come up with.

AshleyRN, no problem! Id love to answer any questions you might have if I can!

AshleyOT, I was going to post what ald11 did -- probably poor wording, but I got the same email. Don't panic!! My request for orders showed 23 March.

Still no actual orders for me. I feel like that kid picked last for dodgeball at recess ... geez!

i'm there with you too, still nothing! even my recruiter is starting to question if i'll really be in the march group. ashleyot, i don't know about the pre-course, but i wish i did seeing as i don't have any prior military experience and could definitely benefit from it! good luck!! adl11, i'm so glad there's someone who's spent time in korea; i'll definitely be picking your brain about it lol, hope that's ok! i think it will be the 121csh/brian allgood army community hospital at yongsan--but i'm still not sure.

Lunah & TraumaRN! I'm already here, so call me when you get here, ha! I was bounced around BAMC all afternoon yesterday as noooooo-one knew what to do w/ me apparently, lol. And kept getting different answers everywhere. Finally I just started making my own phone calls & found the right person myself. I'm supposed to be looking for housing the next couple weeks, AUGH! Talk about stressful!!! I thought I was going to get to do this AFTER BOLC!

FINALLY got my orders via email yesterday!

So excited/ super nervous to get there.
Anyone else worried about PT at all? Anyone have any insight on when during this 9 weeks we have to be able to pass the PT test? I work out regularly, but running and pushups just don't come naturally to me

    Yay orders!!

I believe our first PFT is a few days after we get there ... not sure how many opportunities we have to pass, but it sounds like we just need to do it before we leave there. I'm hoping I'll be successful with the first PFT ...

The first PT test is within the 1st week and its just diagnostic so it doesn't count against you if you don't pass. The actual test is towards the end of OBC. If you pass the diagnostic then you dot need to take it again so you're right, Lunah, we better pass the first one!

I leave on Tuesday to go get my apartment. So excited! See you all down there!!

Within the first few days of being there you will have a PT test. It will be for record. If you fail you will be on remedial PT until either they decide to have another one in the middle of your BOLC or until the final PT test, which is a couple days before graduation. And yes, it means you will have PT out at the FOB while everyone else is released for end of duty day. If you guys have been working as hard as you say you have then you'll do fine. Once you get on that track you'll kick into high gear because the thought of being the one that doesn't pass will give you the extra boost you need!!! You guys are going to do great!!!

It also helps being old ... LOL. The number of push-ups I have to do is a little silly.

The first PT test may or may not be for the record. Ours wasn't. May the force be with you.
