Yes, I was told the course started the 29th from our branch manager, but then was told today that the actual report date is the 23rd....anyone know what we're doing within those 6 days?

In-processing, maybe? I'm sure there will be tons of paperwork, etc. ....

Yeah, I was thinking that might've been the case. But now I'm confused all over again, lol.

I just got my orders in & though it mentions the BOLC course on the 23rd I'm to go to, it actually tells me to report to BAMC on the 8th of March. And now it's the weekend, so I can't get any clarification until days away, ACK! Anyone else's say this date? Thanks! :eek:

Oh, and Monday is a holiday ... probably won't hear anything until Tuesday. That must be what you meant by days, sorry ... duh. My brain ain't workin'!

When any of you got your official orders did they come certified or just regular mail? My orders were always either given to me by my command or through regular mail. Just wondering if things have changed.

Just regular mail for me . Says it was written on the 14th.

Hey all, I'm at BOLC right now. The first several days of BOLC are inprocessing, so lots of welcome briefs and safety briefs and paperwork briefs and the like. If you guys have questions, feel free to PM me. Also, I saw in the beginning of this thread someone who was talking about wearing contacts in the field. BAD idea. Don't care what anyone tells you, you will get your butt kicked for doing something like that because they will tell you a trillion times once you get here that you may NOT wear contacts in the field. It's just a safety thing. They will provide you with glasses (very sexy glasses) and safety glasses with inserts for the field.

Thanks for the chuckle of the day w/ the sexy glasses thing. Though I can figure out about 89% of my orders, some of the acronomys are not familiar to me. Where do I find a translator? lol. :spmstmp: I had to look up on the acronym finder, ha!

Care&Joy, there is a prep course that starts on 3/9 immediately prior to BOLC. I don't know what it for, but it sounds like you are probably enrolled in that. Also the next BOLC course has a report date of 3/23, there are no BOLC courses that start 3/29 your branch manager was mistaken and your orders are correct! You can look up courses and descriptions on ATTRS (https://www.atrrs.army.mil/atrrscc/)

If you haven't received the email from the TAC officer, graduation for phase 1 is May 16 at 0800. It states there is no phase 2 (AOC add-on) graduation.

Also, New1LT, I got my orders in email and they eventually came regular USPS :)

Thanks for the info! Taking over 2 weeks off my preparation time to leave has given me a slight stroke d/t the fact I had so much to do & so little time as it was. The only thing I'm trying to make sense of is housing, as I don't see anything mentioning that until the 23rd & on. I have grandparents in SA I could always stay w/, but they live way on the SW side & I don't want to risk traffic that far away every day.

BTW...where did you find the dates in the course catalogue? I kept trying to look up certain courses & a lot of the 2011 ones said there were none for that FY yet.... maybe I'm just looking it up the incorrect way! :thankya:
