How Compeditive is the Navy NURSE CORPS CANDIDATE Program?

by MilRN2b

Hello Everyone, I am a high school senior who wishes to become a military nurse preferrably in the Navy Nurse Corp. I am wondering how compeditive the NCP is, meaning how many are selected nationwide each year and what kind of GPA and other things do you need to be selected. Also looking at ROTC and the selection requirements need for a four year scholarship. This would include all branches of the military. Basically looking for the best way to get some financial help in getting my BSN. Would it be just as easy to take out student loans and get the degree then sign up and take the signing bonus to repay the loans? Any and all comments or advise very much apppreciated.
