If you work at a federal facility, do you need a license from the same state? I know it sounds dumb and I would never even have thought to ask, except for something I received in the mail today.
Can you give some examples of federal facilities where one might work as a nurse?

If you work for the government or for a VA hosptial, you are required to be licensed by one of the 50 licensing boards in the country. For example, if you live in Ohio and are working for a VA hospital in Texas, your Ohio license is fine.
So then.....If I got a job for the Indian Health Service in Oklahoma, is my Kansas license ok for that?
Yes, your Kansas license will be fine. I have several friends that worked for the Indian Health Service in Arizona and they loved it! Good luck.
