by danegerous Aug 19, '11Hey dudes and dudettes, I will be stationed at Nellis as of November of this year. I own a 1911 pistol and an AR-15 assault rifle. Am I allowed to own these on base? If so, am I ever allowed to carry my pistol with me? Just wondering!
Thanks!

To know exactly what the regulations are for Nellis you need to call their security forces department there.Hey dudes and dudettes, I will be stationed at Nellis as of November of this year. Dane - Aug 20, '11 by BlazerGuyYou definitely cannot carry on base no matter what type of license you hold except for maybe Federal LE. A base is considered Federal property and as such no CCW.
As far as owning, each and every base regardless of branch has different regs and subject to change. Usually it's up to the base commander and those change every few years or so.
At 29 Palms(Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center), no weapons allowed in the barracks. If you lived in base housing you had to register your weapons with PMO(MPs).
