What's everybody's opinion on getting waivers with the following problems:

1.) Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome

2.) Metal in knee from Tibial plateau fx

(1) is not treated with medication and rarely bothers me. Perhaps twice a year I will have a tachycardic episode. I can also have an ablation, but would prefer not to if I can avoid it. (2) should be removed, but deductibles have been too high and I haven't had it done.

What do you guys think?

WPW, as you've described, would disqualify you, page 11:

The metal in your knee is also a possible disqualifier, same link page 7.

But what do you think about the ablation? Would I be eligible if I got the ablation?

Thanks for that pdf - very informative.

That question is answered in the paragraph dealing with WPW, page 11, section 2-18 paragraph 3.

Thanks. I was going off of page numbers in the pdf, so when you directed me to "page 11" I was confused and didn't see the answer.

Not to get your hopes up... Read about what can cause a DQ than go for it anyway:

Not sure about Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome getting a waiver.

My expereince:

History of a Tibial plateau fx and it has a bolt. They didn't blink an eye...

Thrombocytopenia: chronic, moderate but stable = so far waiver granted by SG

Minor to moderate hearing loss after 3rd workup now waiting the SG results

Might get a PDQ but I tried everything I could...
