- Jun 11, '12 by Jenks7Ok so, I just found out I am alternate #1... Help me understand this more if anyone knows about it!! Thank u!!
- Jun 11, '12 by willtsmithHey Jenks7....I know what you are going through, but with this news, you are definitely closer for releaf than you are thinking of right now. Being alternate #1 means that you have already been selected but just that you are one short of the number of positions allotted. So someone has to drop out before you can get a position, and most of the time people do drop out or have a change of mind. So continue to hang tight and we are all praying for you to be with us in August. I hope I help. But also someone in this forum will be of more help, as they were alternate also. Take care and God bless.destiny2k5 likes this.

- Jun 12, '12 by zacheus81So are all of the 3 ER RN Airforce positions filled for this past May's Boards?
- Jun 15, '12 by heirn13Hello all!
Congrats to all the newcomers!! I continue to wait for orders so I can continue on this process. Otherwise just working on physical training. I just received an email from the flight commander for my unit in San Antonio. It made everything seem so real
I can't even begin to explain how excited I am about this new adventure. And I can't wait to meet everyone. samm0705, I am also a NICU nurse and will be stationed at Lackland after COT in august. It's nice to see someone else out there with NICU. We'll have to compare notes
Where are you moving from? I'm currently in Spokane, Washington so this is going to be quite a change for me!
Congratulations to all of us!!!!! - Jun 15, '12 by samm0705Wow it is a crazy coincident. I know it is very nice to know I am not the only NICU nurse heading to Lackland. You are a few steps ahead of me but which makes me realize how close and how real this is about to be for me and my family. I also have a 5yr(boy) about to start kindergarten. I've been doing lots of reaserch into the area and homes. Are you planning on living on base? From what I understand Lackland and BAMC are about 30minutes away from each other so I will be looking into schools closer to BAMC. We can compare notes and research if you would like. I am very excited and nervous all at once lol. Scroll was just approved and I am not waiting for my security clearance.
