Army Reserve Question

by larry v

Am I reading the US Army Nurse Corps recruitment website correctly when I read that Reserve Nurses with a BSN and Critical Care experience receive a bonus of $37,500 ($12,500 a year for three years) for reserve duty?

Doesn't make sense since it exceeds the actual amount of drill pay.

Sounds like a new accession bonus. Basically, you get the bonus at the end of each year for the first three years (minus taxes). I received a bonus (albeit a much smaller one) when I was commissioned, plus a $50,000 student loan repayment for being a critical care nurse. If you want all the details, talk to a health care recruiter in your area. They will be able to tell you all the details. Take care.
