Marine7, I really appreciate your responses. I'm curious to whether or not USAR (USAREC) has waiver approval authority? Seeing as that is where my packet sits as we speak. I realize all we can do is speculate, but was curious to get your opinion. Thanks in advance

    Mbabs84,

Sorry for the delay,, I don't know who has waiver authority. Mine was sent in but not reviewed/approved until after the board met.

Thanks Marine7. I guess my only follow up would then be when/how often are the boards scheduled? I can't seem to find any information online about FY17 DA Reserve Boards. Thanks in advance

The FY18 board meets October 31st. Packets are due mid to late September. You need to call your recruiter and find out if you are to be boarded and then waiver reviewed. Spots fill up fast and you do not want to miss this board........

I was told I may be coming off the OML for the Army (Florida) to be commissioned but it has not been finalized yet. I should know within 30 days. Fingers crossed!!!

That's great, Deenp19!!!! I was told a couple of weeks ago. However, my physical ran out and now I have to go back to MEPS before I can commission. Hoping to find out physical date this week.

Placed a phone call to the 1st Medical Recruiting Brigade. They weren't able to look me up because my packet wasn't submitted through them. My application was submitted by a retired Officer and thus would be in the system. If a packet was submitted in the context that mine was then it can go right to the board (fy18, 31Oct - 2Nov previously memntioned in this thread) prior to the requisite waiver being approved/denied. This is what I was explained yesterday. This sound accurate to anybody? Appreciate the feedback in advance. Thank you.
