Here's a link to an interesting Army opportunity. I heard that they are going to try and push an additional two classes this year for a total of four.

[color=#333333]i know this is an older thread but are things going well with the first females being sent out to do this job?

eta: edited the questions about specific placements and instead asked a general question that could easily get a general answer. there have already been articles available to the public talking about and showing the current csts roles out there so my question could easily be answered using that same publicly availble info just by someone from this site rather than an article shown elsewhere.

Hey ArmyMedic, post another response so that I can PM you. I don't think your messaging is open yet

This post was basically just asking how things were going for them out there right now. There have been some articles in the papers and online about their interactions with the women so far so I was just curious about how they've been doing as far as things they could say publicly.

Hi ladies, I'm not with a FET/CST, I'm currently with a FST in ABAD (Kunar Province). If you guys are coming through this area and need anything (med supplies, personal hygiene items, toys for local kids etc etc) please drop me a line or swing by the FST. Stay safe out there :)

some folks are asking way to many ttp and capability related questions on a public forum (especially you armymedic2113)!

knock it off and take behind the .mil firewall to a site such as https://forums.army.mil. (any official army site.)

join with your ako username and pw then check out these searches:

search for "female engagement team":

search for "cultural support team":

general search for "female engagement" topics/documents:

there is around 200 documents/discussions there.

also there are at least two forums for discussion/questions on fets/csts:

human terrain/cultural awareness > female engagement teams

coin operations > female engagement teams

listen, some of you are officers, some are nco's, some are conus and some downrange right now as actual fets or csts....

...but all of you know better than this!

protect your teammates and your operations - stop discussing things on public forums and putting other fets/csts and soldiers at risk by disclosing info related to ops, ttps, and capabilites -- take those conversations to the .mil side where you can speak freely about it without risk to your fellow soldiers.

if you are not military and interested fets or csts check out these links:

As a medic who worked in a special operations unit. You all are not the type of people who can obviously not keep your mouths shut about things... That in itself would a reason not to get selected for missions like these.

You never know if someone knows someone else at Bragg, even a retired NG soldier.. It would be a good idea to delete this entire blog..

I went through to edit old posts to take away anything that may violate opsec. I apologize if I asked and shared too much on a public forum. There had been a specific article written in one of the local papers about FETs and CSTs that gave away a lot of the same information I mentioned so I guess I went too far with assuming that all of that information was already out there anyway and was honestly just trying to hear it from someone who went through it personally rather than just getting that info from the papers and online articles. So much nowadays seems to get leaked and shared in the paper, on tv, and in online articles even within the Special Operations community that I think sometimes some of us get lazy about what is being said in the public arena. I do still feel I would be good at this job and am still curious about it but will go through other more private means to find out more information and have definitely had some sense knocked into me on keeping better control over what I talk about in a public forum. I apologize again for asking too many things publicly.
