Anyone do the NCP thing?

I am really considering the NCP. The fact that they help with my BSN is wonderful. But I want to know beyond that. How long is the first duty station. Will my appointment be prolonged due to the ongoing war? will i be eligible to be sent to war? Do Navy nurses hang out in hospitals, do they get on ships? Tell me the pros and the cons...help I need to make a realistic decision.
