Air Force Nursing with an Air Force spouse

I have been lurking on here and I previously saw that there were some Air Force nurses who had joined with a spouse already on active duty. I am just wondering how they made your base selection? Did you still get to list preferences for bases or did they just assign you a base where both you and your spouse could be stationed? Did your spouse recieve orders along with yours, or did they have to wait around? I know the Air Force needs come first, but I also know they really try to keep dual active placed together. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
