Air Force Nursing Selection Boards Nov 2016

Did anyone else apply for the November 2016 USAF Nurse boards? I am applying as a fully qualified ER Nurse (46N3J). Today (Dec 2) was the earliest day the board may have released results, but nothing has been released as of now (5pm PST), so I'm guessing we won't hear anything until next week.

Just looking to network with other potential USAF RNs!

Great information, wife going to MacDill for her three month OR training but as I research the Base it seems they have no surgical unit or any type critical care. My question now is where on or around the base will she get her three months of training? And since she is new (in AF) does this mean her duty station will be somewhere else? She swears he said this was going to be the duty station. Appreciate all the insight everyone, all these unknowns are killing me, wife taking it in stride. BTW, Recruiter on vacation right now so we are trying to not bug him.

Just wanted to say I used to work at Tampa General Hospital (level 1 trauma center in Tampa) and oriented an AF nurse for a day last year. Beautiful area, St. Pete is great!

My background check came back about 3 weeks ago, but I'm still awaiting my "Scroll". Did anyone else get an approved scroll yet? Or have any word on it?

Apparently scroll approval has been changed recently. My background check came back also, and my reserve scroll has been approved. I am just waiting on my active duty scroll. From what I can find online, it appears a scroll takes an average of 12 weeks start to finish, but take that with a huge grain of salt.

From all my research...results are completely unpredictable. HA. Hopefully 12 weeks is correct, that would mean that this month is the ticket! I asked a Navy recruiter that I know how long their scrolls are taking and he said 2 months, not sure why the AF is taking longer. Fingers crossed for a March 17th surprise call!!

As for NICU locations: JB Langley, SAMMC, Landstuhl, Kessler MS, Lackland TX, Travis CA, and Kadena Okinawa.

Are these the same bases for OB nursing?

No, OB has a lot more than that. You can add at least JBER (anchorage), Wright Patterson (Dayton, OH), Nellis (Las Vegas), and Eglin (Pensacola. FL) to that list.

Turns out that when wife was sworn in the recruiter didn't have the active duty scroll so he signed her in as Reserve. Now have to do it again for real. Now recruiter says we are waiting on the scroll for active duty and report date is still May 1 as far as we know, understanding is orders don't come until weeks after the swearing in, anyone having similar issue?

Still waiting on my active duty scroll. Reserve scroll is done, and security clearance is done.

You are both further along than me. I am still waiting on my reserve scroll which is the only one needed to begin the HPSP. Not sure whats taking so long! Congrats thus far and good luck on the rest!!

Still waiting for the scroll as well, my cot is 5/22. Can't do anything. My recruiter says I'm going, that they won't move your cot date unless there's no other option

Talked to my recruiter and he says a lot of people are waiting on the scroll. People with a COT date have preference. I was supposed to report May 1st and now it will probably be like July or August. The list comes out every Friday on who got their scroll.
