Are there any nurses out there that has recently gone through the commissioning program? If so how was it? What it physically demanding? The reason why I am asking is because I have a knee injury and can't really run all that well...I need to try and find out if I can possibly have a waiver and still go to cot as a nurse....

Hmmm... doesn't sound good... bad knee? If its a problem they'll weed you out during your physical, or you'll get a waiver. That being said, here is the info for COT:

Thanks. I have been to the afots site several times. I am currently active duty and I am on a waiver but I just don't know if they will take me as an officer with the same problem. And I would hate to go back to my original career field with a bachelors in nursing :rolleyes: I definately don't want to do that but my dilemma is that by the time I get out I will have 12 years in. I feel like that is such a waste. I am praying and hoping that there is a waiver. Well I graduate in 07 and am working on strengthing my knee and doing whatever I can maybe it will pan out and work for me for the 23 days at cot:roll

Sounds like you're doing what you can. Ever seen a PT? Maybe some therapy could help.

Yes I have been to PT and I have had surgery on the knee. I think I am just falling apart :rolleyes:
