AECP student seeking experience

I am currently in the Army's AECP program (and loving it!) but I am concerned that the school I am at is not providing me with enough clinical experience. I would really love to find an internship type experience to suppliment my nursing education so I can "be all I can be" ! My school offers an internship as a course in the summer but it is 6 credits and would put me over my tuition cap. I'm an E4 with no extra cash to pay out of pocket for going over my tuition limit. Also, it would be great if I could find a paid experience (refer back to "I'm an E4 with no extra cash") but any experience I can get would be embraced with open arms. I know I could probably get a job in a CNA type position but I really want to make sure I work somewhere that is willing to teach me rather than just use me as a butt wiper/bed maker (not that I'm above that or not willing to do that, it's just that I would really like to learn more). I'm in Virginia Beach, VA. If any one has any ideas and/or contacts I would really appreciate it!

The VA medical center in Hampton has a student nurse tech positition. You need to check the availability of the position because it comes and goes. If you are able to get in, it is a great way to get experience and the pay is nice for college student. It allows for the ultimate flexibility in scheduling your work hours.
