I will be one of those residents who is happy all the time. It doesn't matter, I will be grateful for the care I get. I will love my roommate and will really look forward to every meal and snack.

I loved dorm life when I was a college student, so I know that I will think I am back in school, looking for the kegger .....hehehe

I want to be completely demented so that I have no clue I'm in a nursing home. I want to be that sweet old crazy lady who wouldn't hurt a fly, but lives in a world all my own, because if I knew that my family put me there, I'd be alot more likely to come back after death and haunt there a$$e$!!!!!!!

The one that has as a dr's order, "never wake resident up before 1pm. Breakfast served at 2p, lunch at 7p, and dinner at midnight. If resident's mother calls, tell her she's dead. No one is to speak or bother resident in any way on Sunday or Monday nights during football season. This is to include pre and post season games. If the Colts are to lose expect resident to be crying, cussing and generally in a foul mood."

I have this intense fear that my mother will out live me and constantly bug me, asking me if I've eaten, if I made my bed, if I paid rent.

Not only do I have "DNR" tattooed on my sternum, but I have "no IV'S" on my anticubitals, "no central lines" on my clavicals, "no tubes" on my belly, and "exit only" on my rectum!
Otherwise, I will be the sweetest lady---till no one is looking!

I will also be the one who has memorized this entire thread, getting ideas, and will put them into practice at my future facility.

I will be the resident who throws a fully loaded bedpan at any irritating staff member, or at anyone who tells me I can't smoke or have coffee and chocolate.

I'll be a resident of your place, first off. I'll most likely be a sun-downer who is somewhat non-compliant. Hopefully I won't have a roommate because I'll definately be unhappy if I do. They'd better not try to keep me on some sort of boot-camp schedule!
