RN responsabilities in LTC

Wanting to know what y'all do as RN's in your LTC facilities . I have worked in LTC but not as an RN . I love " my residents " and would really like to get back into LTC , I have not worked in it since I was a CNA . I would like to get a feel for what an RN job would entail . I know every facility is different and every job is different , I just want a overview of what y'all do .

Read more on this board. There are a few posts concerning this...
As an RN on 3-11 in a small building working weekends...I am a supervisor of nursing and the rest of the building so I may wear a few hats. First I get report, make assignments (most of the CNAs will make their own), Check residents, pass meds, take care of the IVs (midlines and central lines), accu checks and tube feeds with the meds, blood draws, do treatments, help feed or pass trays when I can, call doc with labs etc, take orders, deal with families, deal with staff disputes etc, if there is a housekeeping issue or minor maintanance issue I may need to take care of it. After 7pm..make snacks if none were left..help out CNAs. Boy I can go on.....

OOps I forgot to add...I make the coffee

Where I work, your job duty would be the same as mine as a LPN. Except you get paid more! lol

Yes, the LTC where I work the RN does the same as the LPN. There is no distinction except in the paychek. Well, heck, sometimes that is enough distinction for me.
