Pregnancy no no's

I have just done a test and it would appear I am pregnant, any advice on what I should avoid doing at work. I work in a care home with frail elderly and dementia.

Be aware of rooms with precautions. You don't want to be in contact with patients with shingles.

Congratulations and best of luck!

Congrats, Marjorie! all the above plus MRSA. Be careful moving and handling especially in your first three months. Is this your first?

Worked full 9 months of two pregnancies with no problem. Staff was more than willing to give me an extra hand, I watched my approach w/ known combative residents a little more, did better with following all infection precautions. At the time (14 years ago), they said I needed to stay away from the MRSA resident, but I don't think anyone would even worry about it today.

Thanks guys, I am only 5 weeks in and am panicking about anything going wrong in the first 12 months. I told my manager, she warned me that she does not want to see me lifting anyone or dealing with a particular resident who is very aggressive.
