    Terra, our facility is undergoing the same changes you mentioned in your post. From what I understand, many facilities are being affected the same way. And I agree with you, I'm sure that there were good intentions when PPS originated, but right now there seems to be many flaws which do affect our patient care. If we have concerns that our residents are being adversly affected,we need to make sure that our chain of commands in the facilities we work for are aware of these concerns. We also need to contact our state reps and senators so they are aware of these concerns and problems. If legislators are not aware of the jeopardies our residents face because of PPS and the changes related to it, they will never change the system as it is.     new to the whole assessment coordinator scene for our 18 bed snf unit.

    Thanks all for your input on this board, cant't wait to be a bit more interactive with the q & a, as i get my feet wet in the documentation, etc.
