I told you all that I turned in my resignation at my old job - boy am I ever glad! It's going from bad to worse there.

I was finally called from the other LTCF that I applied at and offered a position. Hope it works out. At least they are staffed better.

Congradulations! I too left a 6 year LTC job after much abuse. I love my new job, I am sure you will too. It took a few months at my new job to feel like home, but now it feels great. I hear from friends that the abuse at my old job continues, I feel for my friends left behind and tell them that the grass is green at the other side, suprisingly even if the manure is on the oppisite side of the fence.

Jacked in the old job a la stress city, last week. Have had a week of leisure and start new job on Monday. Staffing much better, no tight budgets as is run by a church! Sounds like heaven, hope it works out! Good luck all you guys!

Hi, I was in a similiar situation a few months ago. I feel nothing but relief.

I am now at a wonderful job. I still think about the old job at times as it was tramatizing but I don't have to live it anymore. Feel sorry for our elderly though. God bless hope you get the job. I absolutely LLLLLove my change.:p

The new place pays less, but you very seldom see them advertise for help, so I think that says something. I'll be working with a relative of one of the nurses I work with now and she says she loves it there.

I just don't understand what is going on with the other place. They just don't seem to get it. They want quality care but they want it with the least staff that they can get by with. There are a couple of aides on days that needle all the other aides and drive the good ones away - and admin let them get by with it.

I find it quite puzzling as well. Equally as puzzling is the fact that when you do have adequate staff the people want to sit and groan when there is a buzzer, or are rude to residents. Those needling aides, well, they are a complete menice to the profession.
