new to MDS

Hi, I just started being trained to be an MDS Coordinator. Any pearls of wisdom out there? So far I like it, but I am going crazy with all the abbreviations. I wish there was a Dummy's Guide to MDS.

Good Luck to you! I have been an MDS coordinator for 3 years. The company I work for sent me through a class for MDS, care plans, & RAPS.
The MDS 2.0 manual is my Bible. I still use it daily! If you don't have one, it is essential that you get one. Make sure it is the latest copy. I think the last update was June, 2004. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message. ~Robin
