Good gracious.
We are well staffed, well paid, and well treated, as are the residents. Of course, we're a county agency and operate at a huge loss every year. Maybe that reimbursement rate that's less than a decent hotel room?

We were that kind of facility. It is no longer that way. It's sad.

There are stirrings that the facility is going to be sold to a private firm. The DON doubts it - apparently, the notion gets kicked around a lot.
I'm really excited about this place. I think I have a really great opportunity here - she likes my passion for my old ones.

WHAAATTT???!!!! Seriously, that is stupendous, but I wonder how long she will keep her job, if your facility goes private.
Oh - 20 minutes?
But it won't. Since it's county and a rural county at that everyone's relatives are there. The county will keep taking the loss rather than anger all of their contituents by cutting staffing, particularly when even the town supervisor's mom is likely to end up in there.
I hope.
Never mind. I should know better than to post while in "angry" mode.
Ah, rats! I missed a good rant!
Cheers!
I swear, if I hear "just because you've always done it this way, it doesn't mean it's the right way." one more freakin' time, I may just have to say "Just because you're telling me to do it this way doesn't mean it's the right way either."
If I thought I could acually get out of my tub after a bath (don't ask, you really don't want to know) I'd take a long bath with really hot water and some calgon.....since I can't do that, I'll settle for a glass of wine, or 2, or 3.
