by crnacc Sep 20, '12I have been doing MDS since 1998, all ICF, until 1 year ago when we became a skilled facility. I have someone that helps me 4 hours a day. She had unexpected surgery and was off for a month and I had, I believe, 8-9 skilled assessments, plus 3 ICF assessments to do. I got behind in my paperwork. I am also expected to do AIMS assessments on everyone regardless if they are on an antipsychotic or not, and several other assessments. I am salaried and worked 100-106 hours per pay period to keep up. I am also expected to do skilled orders when they enter the building, and various other duties. So, of course, I got behind and then I had 2 very unhappy bosses. I was to do restorative notes also. Anyway, now I have to meet with them weekly as they have talked to other directors of nursing at other facilities to see what is the normal amount; one facility has the skilled rn manager doing the assessments, 16 , and another is 15, but do they have some of the stuff delegated to others? How many assessments does anyone else do?
Thanks!
