How many care staff per resident in ALF?

I was wondering how many care staff do you have on your floor per resident? and what is the variety of level of care?

5.5 residents per carer in the morning
about 7 per carer on the pm shift but one is off doing meds for part of the shift.
44 to one carer on the nightshift with the RN pitching as "carer assistant".

Most are reasonably high care. I think we are fairly lucky.

If your ALF is like mine- then those are amazing stats- Our ALF- the clients are independent in most ADL's- some need help bathing (to get to the back and feet),and one needs help to put on her shoes. they are all continent, ambulatory and eat independently. We help with laundry, housekeeping, med and nursing care, social activities etc.
We have one nurse and one CNA to 24 clients each shift and nights are under the monitoring of the nursing staff of the SNF in the building- to answer callbells.
Anyone who needs more monitoring temporarily- goes to the SNF to sleep at night.
I guess each facility functions its own way.

Technically its 44 to 2 because the RN does all the carer stuff too. And they're all asleep (supposedly).
