Re: How to get hired in LTC as an LVN
I have kept "all" the applications that I have gotten since I have been there, over three and a half years. I have a note on the top of each one, whether I interviewed, how the interview went, if a job was offered and their response, why I didn't offer a job, etc. It saves time down the road if they reapply. I don't have the time or luxury to be sitting at my desk all day calling lots of applicants for non-existent positions. I am usually out on the floors with the staff assisting where I can.
I did not and will not take a personal dig at another person on this site, and I don't work like that either. It's just that I was trying to point out that some job seeking practices may or may not work.
Our building is very old and we do not have the amenities that others have or the wonderful pay. But, we only had one tag during survey and the staff and residents love the environment.
