Not to sound dumb but doesn't DSD stand for dry sterile dressing?

Also stands for Director of Staff Development. Have rarely seen this course offered. Hope someone is able to help out the OP with the info.

Yes, I am referring to a course to become certified as a Director of Staff Development. DSD is also an abbreviation for dry, sterile dressing. I already know how to do those
Thank you anyone who can give me a lead on this course...

There used to be an online DSD course offered by the Professional Development site, run by that individual (Frye) who got in big trouble with a lawsuit recently. I used to get their mailings regularly but not so much lately since Excelsior is no longer accepted in CA. If this place is still up and running, you might try to find them on the internet. I remember the course ran about $250. One way to get it. Don't remember seeing it offered anywhere else, except for one time up north by the Consortium. They only had it offered in one or two of their catalogs, then apparently dropped it. Good luck in finding the course.

I just tracked down the Charles Frye Center for Nurse Education, apparently the new name for his Professional Development Systems. He is still offering NCLEX review courses and an IV Therapy course, but no mention of the DSD course on the new website: www.nurseeducate.com. Sorry, could not have been of more help. Maybe you could call around to facilities and ask their DSDs where they took the course?

Hi! Thank you for all of the information. I thought of doing what you suggested and seeing how it is so hard to find, I will contact some facilities to see how their DSDs got certified. Once again, thank you very much for your replies.
