I was wondering what experiences people have had, and average salaries etc... I am not sure if I want to take the job or not.. Thank you!

I am an admissions RN within a skilled/ rehab unit. It is a great job, but sometimes very stressful, according to how many new admits you get in a day. There is a lot of paperwork involved, head to toe assessments on each one, physicians orders & MARS to compare. My wage is better than a hospital wage in my area, my LTC is above average across the board as far as wages go.....:hatparty:

How many hours do you spend per admission on average? I'am curious as my DNS thinks we should be able to complete an admission mostly within 4 hours that includes head to toe assessment, and ALL the paperwork including contacting physican verifying orders and so on.
Thanik you in advance for your reply

It usually takes me about 3 hours per admission to complete all the paperwork & assessment if nothing out of the ordinary comes up ie no orders for insulin, missing dosage amount etc.... some also take longer if they have needy, nosy family members wanting to go over each & every med & dose
